If you want to celebrate another successful year of working with or for you with your team or coworkers, Christmas is a great time to do so. This is something completely new for you. How do you even begin? How do you manage to do that? Don’t freak out; instead, take a moment to breath and get organized from My Signature Party to guarantee that your party goes off without a hitch and that you and your guests have a terrific time no one will soon forget.
Set a budget and breakdown a plan for your Christmas party!
There is a wide variety of possibilities for a Christmas celebration. Your Christmas party could be as low-key as a group dinner at a restaurant, as elaborate as renting out a large hall and putting on a circus for thousands of people to enjoy after you’ve served them a four-course meal with silver service, or anywhere in between.
The first option is the least expensive, while the last is an extremely luxurious event; your budget and the spending habits of you and your guests may determine which one you end up choosing.
Which kind of party should I have?
So you’ve decided on a spending limit, but you’re not sure what to do next.
Right now, it’s important to consider who you and your guests are as individuals. The first few choices may not be the best if you and your friends plan to drink heavily at dinner (perhaps even “Jager bombs”), leading you to want to hit the dance floor afterward (joint party or putting your own party on). If you’d rather have a low-key evening in with drinks and excellent conversation, though, we recommend going out to a restaurant instead.
Are you looking to add a daytime event?
Including a fun or team-building activity for your guests to enjoy during the day is a good idea (if finances permit). You’ll always had a great time doing things like paintballing, dirt-buggy racing, browsing holiday markets, ice-skating, day tours skiing and snowboarding. By nightfall, guests will have checked in and be prepared to kick back, eat, and party the night away.
How do I choose the venue?
There is a high likelihood that everyone attending your party will get hungry at some time. So, if you want to impress your guests (and most of the other guests, too, so act fast), select a place that provides food. Many nice eateries offer holiday meal deals that include convenient set menus; just keep in mind that if your guest lists is very huge, the restaurant may want deposits from each diner and even advance orders. If budget allows, it’s a lovely gesture to treat your coworkers to a few bottles of wine or to chip in on a bar tab for the evening.
Is there anything else I need to plan?
Entertainment!! We at My Signature Party are always overwhelmed with corporate party reservations around the Christmas period, since you truly can’t beat a celebration complete with live music! We provide jazz duos for meals, party bands for private events, string quartets for a sophisticated touch, vocalists among the service staff, and jaw-dropping huge bands. Live music is a great way to set the mood for any event, and the benefits of a well-planned holiday party can be enjoyed all year long. If you’d want to look at something more to accompany your great music choice, we have excellent caricaturists and close up magicians! Many modern Christmas parties also feature a professional photographer to record the occasion; if you find this too stuffy, consider renting a photo booth from My Signature Party instead.
Do you plan to introduce a theme?
Companies often throw Christmas parties for their employees every year, so it’s only natural that employees look forward to brainstorming new ways to top the previous year’s festivities. Having a theme in mind is a terrific approach to set the event apart from others. Popular themes include a night in the 1980s with a tribute band as the main feature and all guests in fancy dress, a James Bond theme with character lookalikes and a live Big Band playing Bond style music, or a Hollywood Oscars theme with black tie, Marilyn Monroe greeting guests, and showgirls in feathers.
Delight yourself!
Last but not least, make sure you take advantage of the evening when it arrives. Keep an eye on the parts you had a hand in planning, but otherwise, celebrate the event’s success with the rest of the guests by grabbing a glass of champagne and joining the dance floor.
